Sydney Ceramics Market Poster
Held annually in October, the Sydney Ceramics Market celebrates the diversity and creativity in the craft of ceramics across New South Wales. To reflect the range of work showcased at the market, I incorporated playful illustrations of ceramics, with each ceramic unique in shape and expression. These playful, imperfect forms aim to capture a sense of individuality and fluidity – qualities that speak to the handmade nature of ceramics.
This poster was risograph printed – a deliberate choice that complements the handmade nature of ceramics. Like ceramics, risograph printing embraces imperfection, uniqueness and the textured aesthetic. This tactile, character-rich aesthetic aligns closely with the values of the Sydney Ceramics Market – to celebrate the artistry and authenticity of handmade ceramics.
