ZenSips
ZenSips is a fruit juice brand that offers 100% pure juice made from popular Asian fruits including yuzu, nashi and mandarin. The brand features a playful, vibrant illustration style complemented by minimal text to create a visually engaging experience that celebrates the freshness and joy of the flavours.
The brief was part of my university coursework and involved designing and illustrating a label for a new bottled drink, using traditional art mediums. My design approach for this brief focused on capturing the vibrant, refreshing essence of the flavours whilst building a playful and culturally rooted visual identity.
To create a connection to the cultural origin of the fruits, I incorporated a recurring mesh motif across the different flavours to reference the protective mesh covers commonly used to package Asian fruits. This detail not only adds a subtle textural element but also strengthens the brand’s visual storytelling and authenticity.
This project has taught me how to use illustration not just decoratively, but as a key storytelling tool that builds identity, reflects culture and creates meaningful connections with an audience.
